Our Specialty is Original Thai Cuisine. Attention to detail when it comes to the selection of all native spices, herbs and vegetables in order to insure the flavors are as authentic as can be.

History

Established in 2006.
Somsong was a waitress in a Thai restaurant in Lancaster. she noticed a regular customer who faithfully visited the restaurant always by himself. As time went on she befriended Mr. Clarence Blain and learned he was a widower. She mentioned to him about her sister back in Thailand who had also lost her spouse.
The matchmaking took its course.
Clarence and Bualai were soon writing letters to each other. Three months later Clarence flew to Thailand to meet her, Clarence was 79 and Bualai was 52. After several trips to Thailand they soon married and returned to the US and purchased the restaurant at Ming and New Stine in Bakersfield.
Clarence and Bualai brought Somsung and her husband to assist in the operation of the business, the brother-in-law as the chef and Somsong managed the front end. Along with them they brought the secret family recipes.
In March 2008 Clarence and Bualai decided to retire and passed the restaurant to Somsong. They now live happily ever after.

My Husband and I immigrated to the US in search of the American Dream. At first the struggle seemed insurmountable. With lots of hard work and determination we have maintained focused in our goal to bring a pleasant experience and satisfaction to you. (our customer)

  Hands down the best spot in Bako for authentic Thai food!! It's small but the staff is great and the service is pretty fast even on a busy night. The food is amazing!! I get the green curry, I've tried a couple other Thai places here in town but they just don't compare. Even my kids love it! This is our favorite place to eat out. I highly recommend the Thai House!

  The food is really good! We ordered shrimp pad Thai and pineapple fried rice with a fried shrimp appetizer. Everything was seriously delicious. Can't wait to come back!

  My family and I love Thai House! The food and flavors are spectacular. The garlic pepper chicken is so yum and Thai tea is my favorite drink. The owners and staff are very friendly and hospitable... we feel like we are at home when we are there.
